I'm Liz Aguilera, founder of The Wandering Vine Travel, a Virtuoso® affiliated luxury travel advisor based in Charlotte, North Carolina. I specialize in designing custom European travel, with Italy one of my favorite destinations to plan. I also create exceptional travel experiences in a carefully selected collection of destinations around the world through my trusted network of travel partners.

Travel has always been how my family connects with the world. Some of my favorite memories have been exploring Europe with my husband, our daughter, and our extended family. Whether we're hiking in Switzerland, horseback riding through England and Ireland with my horse-loving daughter, wandering local markets, or discovering a destination through its food, wine, and traditions, those experiences continue to shape the way I design travel.

The moments that stay with me most, though, are the people we've met along the way. Sitting around a family table, learning a tradition passed down through generations, or hearing the story behind a bottle of wine from the family who made it has given me a much deeper appreciation for the places we visit.

I hope my clients return home with more than beautiful photographs—they come home with stories they'll still be sharing for years to come.

As a Virtuoso-affiliated luxury travel advisor, I combine firsthand travel experience with a carefully cultivated network of exceptional hotels, private guides, destination specialists, and trusted local partners throughout Europe and beyond. I hold the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines, and every recommendation I make is informed by personal experience, ongoing destination research, and relationships built over years within the luxury travel industry.

Whether I'm planning a couple's getaway or coordinating a multigenerational family vacation, I take the time to understand what matters most to the people taking the trip before designing an experience around them.

Through my own travels, I've learned that the smallest details often have the biggest impact on a trip. From accommodating mobility considerations, food allergies, and service animals to creating memorable horseback riding experiences, I know the best trips begin with understanding the people taking them.
